What shall I wear for class?
We recommend that students wear loose comfortable clothes and supportive but comfortable trainers.  

Is it possible to join a class if it has already started?
Yes, it is possible. Peter teaches people at all stages of their Tai Chi Chuan training, from total novices to experienced teachers. Classes can often include a mix of students at different stages of their training.  

Do I need any equipment for a class?
No equipment is needed for classes. 

How can Tai Chi Chuan help me?
Taijiquan is beneficial to the body, mind, and spirit. Twenty minutes of practice a day will ensure students feel the benefits. 

I have health problems, is it ok to practice Tai Chi Chuan?
If you have any skeletal or medical problems, it is advisable to consult your Doctor or a recognized Tai Chi Chuan teacher who is registered with the British Council of Chinese Martial Arts prior to attending classes. 

Tai Chi has a great many physical and mental health benefits and your training can be adjusted to accommodate student’s needs. Speak to Shifu Peter before attending a class for advice and guidance.

Do I have to be young and fit?
Tai Chi is for anyone irrespective of age, gender, health, religion and circumstances in life. Tai Chi Chuan is not competitive and students are not judged against others. 

Is Tai Chi suitable for me? 
Tai Chi Chuan is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. It is good for anyone who would like to improve their health, fitness, and wellbeing and is also suitable for stress management.

What form of Tai Chi Chuan does Shifu Peter Warr teach?
Shifu Peter’s teaches Yang. This is the most popular form of Taijiquan. Driven by the Communist Government in China in the 1950s as a health exercise, during which the Chinese National 24 Form was developed in 1956. In 1998 Taijiquan top Masters developed the new international Taijiquan Training Syllabus, which is taught by Shifu Peter Warr.

How often should I practice? 
To receive the maximum physical and mental health benefits students should study Tai Chi Chuan for twenty minutes each day. This can be done as part of a class or at home to complement your studies.
