Join us on a journey to physical and mental enlightenment

Tai Chi Chuan, traditionally named Taijiquan or Taiji, is a form of Chinese meditation combining deep breathing and relaxation, within a series of flowing graceful movements performed in a slow harmonized way.

Providing classes in the Milton Keynes area, 8th Degree Master dan Shifu Peter Warr has been practising and teaching Taijiquan for over 50 years, teaching thousands of students in the UK and throughout Europe and the USA.
In China Taijiquan is well known for its healing powers and is prescribed by doctors in addition to other treatments. Also known as Shadow Boxing, most Westerners will have seen Taijiquan being practiced by large groups of Chinese people in parks.

Originally developed as a martial art in 16th century China, since the mid-50s Taijiquan is now practiced around the world as a health-promoting exercise. Health benefit studies have shown that Taijiquan can help people to reduce stress, improve posture, balance, general mobility and increase muscle strength.
There 5 major schools of Taijiquan, such as Chen, Yang, Wu, Wu/Hao, and Sun - the main differences between the different forms are in the speed of movement and the way the body holds the postures. Shifu Peter Warr has practiced and taught many styles of Wushu for over 50 years. Teaching thousands of students, of all ages, here in the UK and throughout Europe and the USA, and coaching medal winners in National, European and International championships.
